Greek air traffic controllers say that they will join the general strike planned for December 15, shutting down flights for 24 hours. Public transit unions will strike on December 14 and 16, shutting down services in Athens. The strikes are in response to labor changes announced by the government this week, as well as previous austerity measures. the new measures will curb bonuses and wages in the public sector. The unions say that this is the government punishing the workers for other people's mistakes, and that they will fight the changes.
