Greek subway workers end strike after arrest threat
After the government threatened to arrest them, Greek subway workers have ended a nine-day strike that hurt transportation in Athens. Greece is continuing to implement more austerity cuts, and the workers were protesting against the proposed cuts in wages. Police broke up an overnight sit-in at a train station. The government said that strike adversely affected other citizens, and that the austerity cuts are necessary.
