Greek Unions Strike After Vote for Papandreou Pension Overhaul
Plane flights, public transport, hospitals and parliament are among the things affected by a Greek strike over pension reform. The first vote on the bill that would reform the Greek pension system was passed by parliament, but each individual measure will be voted on before the final vote, giving workers some hope that some of the measures will not pass. The Greek prime minister says that the bill is necessary for Greece's future, but public opinion seems to be very fragmented on whether pension reform is the best way to cure Greece's financial woes.
