Greenpeace stages protest at Mattel office over Barbie packaging
As part of their worldwide campaign, Greenpeace activists have staged protests against the largest toy company in the world, Mattel Inc. Using hardwoods from Indonesian rain forests for toy packaging, the company is widely known for contributing to rain forest deforestation. Ten Greenpeace activists, one dressed as a Barbie doll, were arrested while protesting at the Mattel headquarters in El Segundo, California.
