Grocery union members approve new labor contract
Southern California grocery workers have approved a new contract after more than eight months of negotiations. The contract covers around 62,000 employees, and the union says that it protects health care and gives a pay increase. The grocery chains said that they were happy to have a deal. The vote was taken on Saturday, days after a deal was struck. The United Food and Commercial Workers union, which represents the workers said that support for the deal from workers was very strong.
