Group Holds Unemployment Protest in N.Y.
A peaceful protest against Bush?s economic policies led to the arrest of nearly 1000 demonstrators on Wednesday. The demonstrators, organized by the nonprofit Washington-based People for the American Way, formed a symbolic unemployment line to protest the outsourcing of American jobs. Police have arrested more than 1,500 people in protests related to the Republican National Convention since late last week.
