Group of Service Workers Plans Building Work Action
Workers at some residential buildings in New York City say that they are not receiving the wages and benefits that meet the prevailing wage standard required. The buildings where they work have tax abatements from the government which require certain wage standards. The workers say that some of them were fired after trying to form a union to push for better standards. The workers have also filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board.
