Hardline French CGT Union Fails to Rally Strike Support
The (General Confederation of Labour) CGT in France called its unions in the energy and transportation sectors to strike over service quality being in jeopardy from spending cuts. Only 8.75% of workers in the energy sector voted in favor of a strike. CGT has recently been faced with an obvious loss of influence over its members.
