Harvard Police Union Accuses University of Withholding Information
The Harvard University Police Association told the NLRB this week that the school is unlawfully withholding an investigative report tied to a dispute between two officers. The union’s complaint centers on a sexual assault case that former detective Kelsey Whelihan said was mishandled by Captain John Fulkerson, sparking an outside investigation whose findings the University has refused to share. Harvard argues the report is confidential and that the union’s requests were overly broad, while HUPA says it needs the document to protect members’ rights. A judge has not yet ruled, but both sides must submit briefs by mid-October, with appeals possible once the NLRB regains a quorum.
