Harvard Reaches Tentative Agreement to End Cafeteria Workers’ Strike
After almost three weeks of picket lines, a tentative deal has been reached between Harvard and its dining hall workers. The 750 members of the Unite Here Local 26 union could return to their posts at the University as soon as Thursday -- reportedly, with their demands met. The dining hall workers had been fighting for higher wages and health care costs. According to Unite Here's president, all of union's goals were accomplished in the agreement. The agreement will be put to a vote later today, and the union will vote whether or not to ratify it on Wednesday.
