Health plans reach out with new alternatives
A growing number of companies are increasing the range of alternative therapies available under their healthcare plans in an effort to curtail rising medical costs and help recruit and retain employees. These alternative therapies include acupuncture, chiropractic and massage therapy. The increased popularity of these treatments can be attributed to rising consumer demand and a growing body of research supporting their effectiveness.
