Hiring `unemployables' saves money, CEO says
While many companies avoid hiring former convicts and substance abusers, a new Internet-based program called America in Recovery looks to change this. The program?s Web site attempts to get potential employers in touch with the people considered ?unemployable? due to their histories. Larry Keast, the founder of the program, argues that recovering substance abusers and those with criminal records can be very good employees if given the proper chance.
