Honeywell To Hire Replacement Workers
After 25 days of a strike by the International Association of Machinists, Honeywell says that they will begin hiring replacement workers. Honeywell, a contractor for the Department of Energy, says that they will hire around 600 workers over the next few months. Workers say that bringing in the replacement workers will be a safety problem. The negotiations have stalled over a new pay system the company is proposing that would not give as much weight to seniority.
