Hospital staff disciplined for speaking out about coronavirus
A number of physicians and nurses working in various healthcare systems have allegedly been terminated after speaking out against a lack of coronavirus protections in their respective workplaces. One such example is Adam Witt, a nurse who worked at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, until he was terminated for defending another nurse who was disciplined for expressing concerns regarding coronavirus exposure on Facebook. In addition to terminating Witt’s employment, the hospital put up fliers with Witt’s photo that urged employees to report sightings of Witt to hospital management.
