Hotels, Union Agree Only to Talk Again Next Week
Labor negotiations between 14 D.C. area hotels and the hotel employees union have not resulted in any substantial agreements but both sides have agreed to keep talking. A key union demand has been a two-year contract that would expire at the same time as those in other major cities, increasing bargaining power However, the union may be willing to accept a three-year deal if other demands are met.
