Houston Kroger workers to strike
On November 16th, the UFCW announced that Kroger workers in Houston have voted to authorize a strike. The contract between Kroger and the UFCW expired in April 2020 and this strike authorization came to be over issues like pay and healthcare. Another issue of contention has been Kroger canceling its hazard pay, and in some cases asking employees to return extra pay accidentally given out. It is unclear when the strike will happen, but some suggest it could be this week.
