Hundreds Of Thousands Of Workers Will Strike May 1, Organizers Say
Approximately 350,000 service workers will walkout on May 1 in protest of President Trump. Tens of thousands of Service Employees International's union members will strike, as well as advocacy groups like the Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC) United. The service workers chose May 1 because it is International Workers Day. The upcoming strike marks one of the largest general strikes since the 2006 "Day Without Immigrants" strike.
