Hyatt workers face ergonomic risks, U.S. agency says
The Occupational Health and Safety Administration says that Hyatt workers could have injuries from housekeeping work. While OSHA did not say that Hyatt violated standards, they did say that repeated lifting and carrying, as well as other repetitive motions could lead to injuries. Hyatt says that their employees are one of their top priorities, ad that they provide a safe workplace. The inspection was in response to complaints filed by UniteHere, which represents workers at the Hyatt. The union says that the company should consider changes that will reduce the risk of injury.
