Hyundai Motor, Workers Agree to End Costliest Strike
South Korean Hyundai workers have reached an agreement with the company that will end a strike. About 53% of the 45,000 workers supported the new agreement, which will increase pay and end overnight shifts. The walkout was the first at the company since 2008, and cost the company a large amount of money. Hyundai will also invest money in its facilities to help maintain output after overnight shifts are eliminated. South Korea represents about 46% of the company's production.
