Hyundai Workers to End Strike
Temporary Hyundai workers in South Korea have agreed to end an almost one month strike against the car company. Workers have occupied a factory in South Korea since November 15, in a move that has cost the company $277 million. The workers wanted job security, which the company does not want to give them to keep costs low and flexibility high. The workers were under pressure from management and permanent employees to end the strike, with Hyundai filing a suit against the workers for billions of won in damages.
