Illinois: Unions Sue to Reinstate Dues
On Thursday in Illinois, a lawsuit was filed in an effort to reinstate the rule that workers have to pay union dues even if they are not members. Last month, Gov. Bruce Rauner through executive order removed this rule from existence. As a result, twenty-seven unions have filed motions to sue the governor claiming that his executive order violated collective bargaining agreements.
