In a First for a Major American Video Game Company, SEGA of America Employees Secure Union Contract
Amid the massive influx of layoffs across the entire video game industry, 150 workers for SEGA of America have successfully ratified a contract securing raises, hybrid work, layoff protections, and advanced notice of plans to add the use of Artificial Intelligence to workplace operations. As with many other companies in the video game industry, SEGA employees experienced the threat of layoffs earlier this year, with 61 workers cut earlier in March.
