In a Narrow Vote, Delta Flight Attendants Reject a Unionization Effort
Delta flight attendants narrowly rejected unionization by the Association of Flight Attendants. The union says that it will ask for an investigation into the tactics used by the company to interfere with elections, which they said were widespread. They also said they ask the National Mediation Board for another vote. The company has stated that it felt that unionization would disrupt its culture of cooperation, and that the workers were part of their family. Customer service employees and ramp and cargo workers are also participating in votes towards unionization. Delta's pilots and dispatchers are already unionized.
