In Asia-Pacific region, workers with advanced digital skills earn significantly more money than those without such skills
A recent survey conducted on workers and employers in the Asia-Pacific region, including countries such as Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and others, indicated that workers with advanced digital skills earn significantly more money. Compared to workers with similar educational backgrounds and work experience, workers with these advanced digital skills in software or app development add a lot of value to the region's GDP and are compensated accordingly. Employers are willing to pay higher wages to workers with these tech skills, which motivates workers to seek additional training to acquire advanced digital skills. Additionally, employers in the Asia-Pacific region have been struggling to hire digitally skilled workers with bachelor's degrees because it is more common for workers to hold certificates instead, so some organizations have relaxed the degree requirements for their positions to attract a larger talent pool.
