In New York and Maryland Amazon workers walkout for better wages and longer breaks
In New York and Maryland Amazon workers staged a walkout in the early morning hours. These workers quit working and shut off a machine to demand a $3 raise and demanded that Amazon bring back 20-minute breaks in replacement of their 15-minute breaks. The walkouts consisted of roughly 60 workers from three different warehouses who were all working the night shift. These workers are being organized by Amazonians United which led a walkout in Chicago in December that resulted in a $2.20 an hour raise for the workers.
