In The Temp Economy, People Are Staying In Jobs For Longer
A new report found that the amount of time people stay in their jobs has been rising. In 2012, people had spent an average of 5.4 years at their current job, up from 5 years in 1983. Analysts say that most people have never had jobs that lasted their entire careers, and that there is no evidence that they will have life-long jobs in the future. The report also showed an increase in tenure for women, while men's tenure fell slightly.
