Throughout the week, aggrieved Google employees have gathered in front of company buildings to protest the company's recent layoffs. In the largest workforce reduction action of the company's history, Google laid off thousands of workers recently including veteran employees and top performers. Furthermore, the release of fourth-quarter earnings reports indicated that the company brought in millions of dollars in profit, which many workers have taken as proof that the layoffs were unnecessary. As a result, there haev been demonstrations in NYC and California to protest these decisions along with the poor work conditions for the company's subcontractors.
