In Vermont, Ben & Jerry's workers set to unionize in hopes of obtaining a greater voice in salary and health care decisions
At the Ben & Jerry's store in Burlington, Vermont, workers are planning on unionizing to seek greater voice with regards to salary and health care cost decisions. The organizing workers are being backed by the upstate New York and Vermont chapters of Workers United, which is the same union that supported the unionization campaign at Starbucks in Buffalo. Ben & Jerry's claims to be a company that supports social justice and equality initiatives, and workers are banking on the company's progressive values to aid in their unionization efforts.
