In8 Billion Restaurant Industry, a Study Finds Mostly 'Bad Jobs'
A study released by the Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York, an advocacy group for restaurant workers, found that the majority of the city?s restaurant jobs are 'bad jobs.' Workers in these jobs receive low wages, few benefits and limited opportunities for advancement. Employers argue that the cost of providing better wages and benefits would drive them out of business.
