Indiana House committee advances right-to-work bill
A proposal in the Indiana legislature for a right-to-work law has advanced through committee, after opponents of the bill ended a boycott. The law has now been sent to the Indiana House of Representatives. The bill would stop union contracts from requiring members to pay dues, and is seen by many as an attack on unions. Supporters of the bill say that they will help the economy. Opponents left the state last year to avoid a vote on similar legislation.
