Indiana right-to-work law struck down
Right-to-work laws typically allow employees represented by a union to choose whether or not to pay dues and fees associated with that union and currently exist in 23 states. The right-to-work law passed in Indiana in February of 2012 was struck down by State court Judge John Sedia. Judge Sedia cited Article I, Section 21 in Indiana?s Constitution which requires ?just compensation? for services and benefits. The State Attorney General stated that the ruling will be appealed.
