Indianapolis hotel workers net settlement in union-backed wage-and-hour lawsuit
Indianapolis hotel workers who had sued a staffing company for unpaid wages have settled. The 16 workers said that they were not paid for work they did at nine Indianapolis hotels. The case was scheduled for trial in October, and while the company said that it could not verify whether employees were not being paid, they wanted to settle the suit. Workers said that they were required to work off the clock and were denied breaks and overtime. Some area hotels gave workers raises, while others have stopped using the staffing agency.
