Inflexible bosses hamper U.K. women
The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), U.K.'s equality watchdog, found that British women have difficulty pursuing careers because employers are inflexible when it comes to family duties. The EOC wants the government to introduce a 48-hour work week and give all parents the right to flexible working arrangements. According to the deputy chair of the EOC, a failure to address these issues could affect British productivity.
