Inland China City Woos Apple Supplier With Workers, Lower Wages
Foxconn, an Apple supplier, will open new plants in Zhengzhou, China, which has a large population and lower wages. The city has said that it will help Foxconn recruit 100,000 new workers, who will be paid about $237 monthly. They are incentivizing companies like Apple and Intel to shift production to the province, with workers, lower wages and improved infrastructure.
