Inquiry Is Sought on a Gotti's Union Entry
Prosecutors investigating corruption allegations amongst the New York City carpenters' union are being urged to investigate how Richard Gotti, a brother of the deceased mob boss John Gotti, became a member of the union. A memorandum has also asked for investigators to uncover why the carpenters grew more lax in enforcing safety and union rules at the site where Mr. Gotti worked. The federal government is seeking to eliminate corruption from the union.
