Instacart workers urge consumers to delete the app
Instacart workers are urging consumers to delete the app. Instacart workers organizing as the Gig Worker Collective are using the hashtag #DeleteInstacart to bring attention to the company’s labor issues ahead of their rumored IPO. They will also be organizing a walk-off protest on October 16th. Workers cite deteriorating worker conditions, poor consumer attitudes, unfair compensations models, and a lack of occupational death benefits as the need for this action. Instacart says, “We take shopper feedback very seriously and remain committed to listening to and using that feedback to improve their experience.”
