Insurer moves 1,100 jobs to India
The British insurance firm Royal & Sun Alliance has announced plans to shift 1,100 jobs over the next two years from the United Kingdom to India in a move estimated to save the company more than $18 million a year. This has fueled British labor unions? concerns about the unprecedented threat to UK jobs and the economy that offshoring presents.
