Intel confirms it will axe 5,400 workers in 2014
Intel announced earlier today that it plans to reduce spending, including shedding approximately 5,400 employees in the coming year. The reduction represents about 5% of the company?s total 107,600 employees. The reductions in 2014 come after the company added 2,500 employees in 2013. The company believes that spending, and headcount, must be reduced based on projections of flat revenue growth in the near future.
