Iraq oil workers: New labor law needed
            The Iraqi Federation of Oil Unions has sent a letter to that nation's labor minister, demanding that the government fulfill its constitutional mandate for a new labor law that would permit workers to organize. The demand comes after a year of unrest in the face of indifference from both the Iraqi and U.S. governments; the move has garnered support from U.S. labor leaders.
