Irregular hours 'make staff ill'
A report by the insurance group Zurich shows that shift workers suffer exhaustion brought on by irregular hours and that they are more likely to suffer insomnia, memory lapses, and depression. Police officers, firefighters and nurses are workers who typically have shift schedules. The report suggests combating the exhaustion by eating high protein food, exercising regularly and taking naps.
