Italian president weighs in on Fiat firings
Last month Fiat fired three Italian workers who they said tried to interfere with production during a union assembly. A court ordered the company to re-hire the workers. The three workers have now been barred from going to work, and say that their dignity is hurt by being paid not to work. The three workers are protesting outside the plant that they are supposed to work at. Italy's president urged the company to respect the court's ruling and allow the workers back. The company has appealed the ruling and a decision will be made on October 6.
