In October, the Italian unemployment rate reached 13%, which is the highest level seen since 1977. Italy?s Prime Minister is pushing to add flexibility into the labor market, but his efforts have been met by opposition from labor unions and politicians. The youth unemployment rate just reached 43.3% in October as well.
