Jail Officials Arrested After Inmates Say Labor Exploited
At a prison in Nashville, employees were accused of profiting from crafts made by inmates. Two current employees and one former employee reportedly forced inmates to make various things such as birdhouses, plaques and dog beds for no pay when the inmates were supposed to be tutoring other students. The three men sold the products on a website called The Stand Firm Designs for approximately 6 months.
