Job cuts coming at HP: analysts
The world's number two computer maker, Hewlett-Packard, could cut as many as 25,000 jobs next week, according to analysts. In May, HP offered a voluntary severance package program that attracted about 2,000 employees in the company's imaging and printing business. Analysts have been expecting sharp cuts, based on statements from executives highlighting the need to cut costs to remain competitve with other brands such as Dell.
