Job Growth Was Fantastic Last Month. So Why Aren?t Wages Rising More?
In February, the unemployment rate fell to 5.5% in the U.S. as 295,000 new jobs were added to the market. It is expected that 3.5 million jobs could be added this year. However, this healthy job growth has not been reflected in wage increases for employees. The average hourly wage has not seen a significant increase since 2010.
