Job openings continue to skyrocket
The number of job openings at the end of June was, a record breaking, more than 10 million. This jump from May’s 9.2 million openings came as a surprise to experts and shows the increased bargaining power and employment options for workers. This was the third straight month of record-breaking job openings. The U.S. Labor Department says that there are more open jobs than there are potential workers with only 8.7 million Americans looking for work.
