Job recovery looks durable as factories add more workers, fewer people seek unemployment aid
Reports from the Labor Department have bolstered claims that the economy is recovering. Factories continued to hire workers in March and inflation has remained low. Economists are predicting that the economy will again add over 200,000 jobs in March, another sign that the economy is stronger. In another sign that the economy is improving, discouraged workers who had stopped looking for work have begun to reenter the workforce. The economy still has 5 million jobs fewer than before the recession began.
