Job search times on the rise
Having fallen for the past three quarters, the amount of time it takes to find a job is once again on the rise. A new survey has revealed that the jump in energy prices following hurricanes Katrina and Rita may be tempering corporate hiring plans. The survey showed the median amount of time it took for someone to find a job in the third quarter was 3.6 months, up 16 percent from 3.1 months the previous quarter.
