Jobless benefits near end for some American Crystal workers
Some locked out Minnesota employees of American Crystal Sugar will begin losing unemployment benefits as the lockout drags on. American Crystal Sugar locked out its employees in August 2011, and depending on when Minnesota employees applied for benefits, their time may be up soon. North Dakota workers who were also locked out were not eligible for unemployment benefits under their state law. American Crystal Sugar has been using replacement workers to run its factories during the lockout.
