Jobless Claims Fall to Lowest in Four and a Half Years
According to a new report from the Labor Department, new unemployment claims fell to the lowest level in more than four years. The report found that claims dropped by 30,000. Analysts say that the report is part of a larger trend indicating that labor market and economy are slowing improving. The four-week average, considered a better indicator, fell by 11,500 jobs. The report comes a week after the September jobs report, in which the economy added 114,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 7.8%.
